Keep track of where your time goes.
Time Tracker records what you do, when, with whom and where, as events on a calendar of its own in your Google account, and helps you see how your days add up.
Your calendar, your data
Everything is stored in a Google Calendar and a spreadsheet that Time Tracker creates in your own Google account. Nothing is kept anywhere else.
Notes as you go
Jot a quick note of what you're doing. Later, the notes are compacted into events with the actions, people and places they involve.
Goals and habits
Set goals, define habits, and see how the time you record measures against them.
Works with Claude
The server speaks the Model Context Protocol, so you can review and record your time in conversation with Claude if you choose to connect it.
How it works
Time Tracker is two pieces of open-source software that you run yourself:
- A server that talks to Google Calendar and Google Sheets on your behalf and exposes tools over the Model Context Protocol. Source: time-tracking-google-calendar-mcp.
- An app for Android, Windows and the web that shows your days as a timeline, with the notes, events, plans, goals and habits behind them. Source: time-tracker-client.
Access to your Google account
Time Tracker asks Google for the narrowest access that does the job. It can only see and change calendars and spreadsheets that it created itself. It cannot read your other calendars, your other Drive files, your email or your contacts. The privacy policy spells out what is accessed and why.
Time Tracker is a personal project. Each copy is run by the person who uses it. There is no hosted service to sign up for.
